Ingredients
- ½ cup of butter (melted & cooled, unsalted or salted can be used- if using salted, you may want to reduce the added salt to ¼ tablespoon of butter)
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of buttermilk or milk
- 2½ cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 tablespoon of baking soda
- ½ tablespoon of salt
- 1½ cups of sliced or quartered, black seedless grapes (some bakers use the Sable Black Seedless variety; for larger grapes, it is recommended to quarter them)
- Sparkling sugar (this is optional)

- Using a cookie scoop (or normal tablespoon), put 6 tablespoons of batter into each cup (if using a 3-tablespoon cookie scoop, that’s two scoops).
- Add sparkling sugar to the tops of each muffin (optional)
- Bake for 5 minutes. Then, reduce the temp to 375°F for another 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven when finished baking and let rest for 10 minutes. Remove from the pan to finish cooling on a rack. These muffins are freezer friendly for up to 3 months!
